# Welcome to Golden Analytics

> A quick tour of what Golden Analytics does, what you'll find on Home, and the main places you'll work.

Golden Analytics is an AI-powered analytics platform. You connect data, explore it with the help of an AI Analyst, build charts on a drag-and-drop canvas, and assemble the results into dashboards and stories.

## What you can do here

- Connect data by uploading a file (CSV, Excel, JSON, Parquet, TSV), linking a Google Sheet, or connecting a warehouse like Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, or Redshift.
- Explore with Discover - surfaces key questions, quick insights, and suggested visualizations once a dataset is loaded.
- Build charts on the Analyze canvas by dragging fields onto shelves (X-Axis, Y-Axis, Color, Size, Tooltip) or asking questions using natural language.
- Compose dashboards by placing charts, KPIs, tables, and text onto a canvas.
- Share your work with others — you can invite colleagues or publish your work for others to interact with

## Your Home page

Home greets you and puts the most common starting points in a row of buttons: Start an analysis, Create a shared connection, Make a space, and Try it out with sample data. Account admins also see Invite others.

On your first visit, a How It Works card below them walks through the five stages of an analysis: Connect, Discover, Prepare, Analyze, and Communicate. Once you have work in progress, Home shows your Recents instead - the analyses, dashboards, sheets, datasets, and connections you touched most recently, so you can pick up where you left off.

## The main surfaces

- Home - your landing page, with quick actions and an Explore browser that opens on Recents, the analyses, dashboards, and datasets you last worked on.
- Favorites - anything you starred.
- Your space - your private space, created for you automatically.
- Spaces - the collaboration and public spaces you belong to, each holding analyses, dashboards, datasets, and connections.
- Explore - everything you can see across the account, with search and filters.
- Analysis - a single project that contains Connect, Discover, Prepare, Analyze, and Communicate in one sidebar.

> **Tip:** Press Cmd K (or Ctrl K on Windows) anywhere in the app to open the command palette and jump to a view, change chart type, or run an action.
