The Communicate stage
Turn your analysis into dashboards you can present and publish to your team, starting from an AI description, a suggestion, a field, or a chart you already built.
Communicate is where an analysis becomes something you share. You build dashboards on a freeform canvas, style them with templates, then present or publish them to your space.
Open the Communicate section
- Open an analysis from your space.
- In the left sidebar, find the Communicate section. Click its name to see all of the analysis's dashboards.
- Click New dashboard next to Communicate (or Add a dashboard if there are none yet) to add a dashboard.
- Click a dashboard's name to open it on the canvas.
Start a new dashboard
A new, empty dashboard shows a Start your dashboard card with four ways in. The card isn't a modal, so you can drag a field straight onto the canvas beneath it, and it reappears whenever the canvas is empty.
- Describe it - tell the AI what you want to show, then click Generate dashboard.
- Use a suggestion - pick one of the ideas built from this dataset.
- Start from a field - add an empty chart, then pick its fields.
- Use an existing sheet - copy a chart you already built in Analyze.
Click Start blank to dismiss the card and work on an empty canvas.
Add tiles by dragging
You don't have to use the AI pane to fill a board. Open the Fields tab beside the canvas and drag a field onto the board to start a new chart. As you drag a new tile in, a gold guide line shows where it will land, so you can drop it between existing tiles rather than only at the bottom.
- Drop a field onto the empty canvas to create a chart from it.
- Drop a field onto an existing chart and Golden offers what to do with it — add it to an axis, break it down by color, and so on.
- Drop a measure onto a KPI or big-number card to set its value, or drop a date onto one to add a trend line.
What you can build here
- Dashboards on a freeform canvas with charts, KPIs, tables, text, and shapes.
- Styled layouts from the Golden Templates, or from templates you saved yourself.
- A published version your space can open in the read-only viewer.
