Sharing in Golden happens inside your account. You publish a dashboard to the space it lives in, or invite specific teammates to it. There are no public links: everyone who opens something you share signs in to Golden first.

Publish a dashboard to its space

Every dashboard starts as a Draft. Publishing it adds it to the space's Published section, where members of the space can open it in the read-only viewer.

  1. Open the dashboard in your analysis.
  2. In the dashboard toolbar, click the Draft pill. It changes to Published.
  3. A confirmation names the space the dashboard was published to, with an Undo button.

You can also publish from these places:

  • The analysis sidebar - each dashboard under Communicate shows a Draft or Published badge you can click, and its row menu has Publish or Unpublish.
  • A dashboard card in the space - click its Draft or Published badge and choose Draft or Publish.
Note: Only dashboards and data stories can be published. Analysis sheets are never published on their own. An empty dashboard has no publish control until you add something to it.

Unpublish

Click Published (or choose Unpublish from a menu) to take a dashboard back to Draft. Golden asks you to confirm first: members of the space lose access to the dashboard, and to any chats they had within it, until you publish it again.

Share from your private space

Items in your private space are only visible to you, so there is nowhere to publish them. Clicking Draft on a dashboard there shows "Move to a space to publish" and opens the share dialog instead. You can also choose Share… from an analysis or dashboard card's menu in your private space.

  1. Choose Move to a space (the analysis leaves your private space) or Duplicate to a space (a copy is shared and the original stays private).
  2. Pick a space from the Space list, or choose Create a new collaboration space… and name it.
  3. Optionally search for people under Invite people to notify them.
  4. Click Share. Publish the dashboard from its new space when you are ready.

Copy an in-app link

Use Copy URL to grab the in-app link to an analysis, dashboard, dataset, or connection. It sits in the bottom-left of the Share dialog, and in the overflow (⋯) menu on analysis cards and on dataset and connection rows inside a Space. The link is scoped to your account and opens the resource for anyone who already has access to it — the quickest way to point a teammate at something. For a published artifact, Copy URL copies the read-only viewer link recipients are sent.

Invite specific people

Inviting sends a teammate an in-app notification that points them at your work. In an analysis, click Invite in the top bar. In a shared space, choose Share… from an analysis card's menu, or Invite people from a published card's share menu.

  • Search by name or email, select the people to notify, then click Share.
  • Copy URL copies the link you are inviting people to, if you would rather send it yourself.
  • You can invite up to 25 people at a time.
Note: Who can invite depends on your role in the space. Space admins can add new people to the space as they invite them. Editors can notify people who are already members. If you don't manage the space, the dialog says so and asks you to pick a space you manage.

The Share menu

The Share button in the analysis top bar collects the ways to take your work out of Golden:

  • Copy image - Copy to clipboard or Download PNG, with checkboxes under Include for what goes in the picture.
  • Download data - CSV or Excel of the current sheet. Shown only in Analyze.
  • Export - opens a dialog with a Slides tab (PowerPoint, PDF, Google Slides) and a Data tab (CSV, Excel, Google Sheets).

What people see when they open it

A shared or published dashboard opens in the read-only viewer. The viewer asks for sign-in first, and it only opens for people who have access through the space or an invitation. Owners and editors of the analysis see an Edit button that opens it in the editor. The viewer has its own Share menu with Invite people, Copy image, and Export.

Heads up: Dashboards cannot be embedded in other websites or opened by people outside your Golden account.
