Profile settings

Change your display name, profile picture, cursor color, and the AI assistant's language in the Profile section of the settings dialog.

Your profile controls how teammates see you in collaborative sessions. It is the Profile section of the settings dialog, and it is where settings opens by default.

Open Profile

  1. Press Cmd , (Ctrl , on Windows and Linux), or click your avatar in the top right and choose Settings.
  2. Profile is the first section in the left rail, grouped under your own name.
  3. The old /settings/profile address still works — it opens the dialog on this section.

What you can edit

  • Profile picture — click the avatar to upload an image. A crop dialog lets you zoom and reposition before applying.
  • Display name — the name teammates see in collaborative sessions.
  • Cursor color — pick from the preset colors used for your cursor and presence indicator.
  • Locale — the language Golden's AI assistant writes its suggestions and replies in when it can't tell from what you typed. Leave it on Browser default, or pick a specific language.
  • Email — shown for reference, but not editable here.
  1. Make your changes.
  2. Click Save changes. The button stays disabled until something has actually changed.

The assistant's language

Golden's AI answers in the language you write to it in — your questions, its replies, suggested next steps, and the quick-action chips all follow what you type. When a message is too short to tell, it falls back to your Locale setting here, then to your browser's language, then to English. Set Locale to pin that fallback to a specific language, or leave it on Browser default to follow the browser. The menu lists the languages the assistant can write in: English (with a UK variant), Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified), German, French, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Polish, and Czech.

Note: Passwords are no longer part of this section. Sign-in credentials have their own Password section in the same rail — see "Change your password".
Tip: The left rail is grouped in two: the sections under your name are yours alone, and the sections under the account name are shared by everyone in the tenant.
